The Neijiang Economic and Technological Development Zone recently hosted an on-site promotion event for major projects in the third quarter of 2024, focusing on advancing six major projects to bolster Neijiang's "sweetness+" industry cluster.
A landmark project in the focused promotion is the Southwest Food and Beverage Production and Packaging Project, with a total investment of 800 million yuan. It includes the construction of three PET bottle beverage production lines and four preform production lines. Once operational, the facility is expected to produce 400 million PET bottles and 700 million preforms annually. At full capacity, the projected annual output value will reach one billion yuan. The project is on schedule to reach full production capacity by March 2025, as per its construction progress.
Additionally, the Henghe Packaging Southwest Headquarters and Manufacturing Base Project, with an investment of 600 million yuan, will construct three production lines for paperboard, pre-printing, and color printing, respectively. At full capacity, the project's annual production is expected to reach about 90 million sets, with an anticipated yearly output value of approximately 400 million yuan. Upon completion, this project will bridge Neijiang's gap in the high-end carton packaging materials sector, providing support to companies like Red Bull Energy Drink and Yangpu Technology.
The industrial park in the Neijiang Economic and Technological Development Zone has attracted renowned companies such as the drink brand Red Bull from Thailand TCP Group, China Resources Snow Breweries, Hong Kong's cans producer Sunrise Group, and Yangpu Technology. The food and beverage industry is swiftly clustering, creating a competitive edge. The development of the Southwest Food and Beverage Production and Packaging Project and the Henghe Packaging Southwest Headquarters and Manufacturing Base Project will further fortify the food and beverage industry chain in Neijiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, enhancing the overall strength and competitiveness of Neijiang's "sweetness+" industry.
