On February 21, a China Railway Express
train loaded with supporting materials for the construction of the Belt and
Road left Chengdu International Railway Port and was expected to arrive at its
destination in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 13 days. It is the first China
Railway Express train running from Chengdu to Saint Petersburg, which is the
first station expanded by China Railway Express (Chengdu & Chongqing) in
2021, the Year of the Ox. As of now, Chengdu has owned 59 overseas stations of
China Railway Express.
The supporting materials transported by the
train will be used in the Baltic gas chemical complex (GCC) project of China
National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation Seven, LTD (CC-7).
This project is the largest ethylene integration project worldwide and a major
project of CC-7 on the Belt and Road. With the contract value of nearly 100
billion yuan, it is of great significance to China's international cooperation
in overseas engineering. The relevant head of CC-7 said, "The efficient
transport services and full supply chain services of Chengdu International
Railway Port provide important support for the company to promote the
construction tasks of all phases of this project in a timely and all-around
way."
So far, Chengdu International Railway Port
has built seven international railway channels and five international rail-sea
multi-modal transport channels, connecting 59 foreign cities and 20 domestic
ones. During this Spring Festival holiday, the number of
Chengdu International Railway Portinternational trains and China Railway
