On August 8, Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport will be reopened, starting with Chengdu-Jiuzhai Valley flight from Sichuan Airlines, according to sources from Sichuan Transportation Investment Group and Sichuan Airlines on August 5.
This flight runs three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), and is operated by Airbus A319. Here is the specific flight time: the outward journey departs Chengdu at 10: 20 and arrival at Jiuzhai Valley at 11: 20; the returning journey departs Jiuzhai Valley at 12: 10 and arrives in Chengdu at 13: 15. Notably, Sichuan Airlines will offer concessionary one-way tickets priced at RMB 299 or above excluding tax for the first three flights.
In addition, Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport will also resume direct flights to Jiuzhai Valley from Chengdu by Air China in this September. By then, the airport will increase its flights to one flight per day, and it also plans to resume flights to Chongqing, Xi 'an, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and other cities within this year. According to a relevant head from Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport, the airport will redouble its efforts to open more flights and strive to resume other flights as soon as possible, thus propping up the recovery of local tourism market and shoring up the overall tourism development in Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture.
At present, Jiuzhai Valley National Park is still closed and under post-disaster reconstruction. Passengers who plan a travel to Jiuzhai Valley can stay tuned for updates on the official website of Jiuzhai Valley National Park Management Bureau.
